Valentino opens flagship store in Ginza Six, Tokyo.

The 885 square meter boutique marks an important step in the development of Valentino’s worldwide retail network expansion with the innovative store concept developed by the Valentino Creative Director Pierpaolo Piccioli together with renowned British architect David Chipperfield.

The new Valentino flagship boutique is composed of five floors and is located at Ginza Six, an urban redevelopment project of two city blocks which aims to establish a preeminent and internationally renowned multipurpose building in Tokyo.

The boutique proposes an innovative concept with a store façade on Chuo Dori. The façade represents a reinterpretation of the Japanese Noren, traditional fabric dividers hung between rooms, on walls, in doorways or in windows, which allow passage or viewing.

The façade, made of a stretched metal mesh produced from solid sheets of aluminium, generates an elegant and rational screen that enables unimpeded views from both inside and outside, bestowing both lightness and depth.

The Valentino Ginza Six boutique is set to greatly host the entire world of Valentino for both women’s and men’s carrying ready to wear, accessories and fragrances.
